Image and Barcode Logging Data

If you use image meal logging, barcode scanning, or similar features, MyCals may process:

• Food images you choose to capture or upload
• Barcode values
• Food names and nutrition results
• Ingredient and portion estimates

When you use image meal logging, your food image and related request data may be sent to an external AI service, such as Google Gemini, to identify food items, estimate portions, and generate nutrition estimates.

Subscription Information

If you purchase MyCals Premium, subscription status, entitlement status, and purchase-related information may be processed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store.

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details.

Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

We may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the app, such as:

• App usage events
• Device type
• Error logs
• Crash or performance information
• App launch and interaction information
• Notification preferences

Support Information

If you contact us for support, we may collect the information you provide in your message, such as your email address, account details, and the content of your support request.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide barcode, search, and image meal logging functionality

• Provide MyCals Premium subscription access

3. Legal Basis for Processing

4. Subscriptions and Payments

MyCals Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and managed using RevenueCat.

RevenueCat helps us check whether your subscription is active and whether Premium features should be unlocked.

We do not receive or store your full credit card or payment details.

Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple’s App Store policies.

5. Third-Party Services

MyCals may use third-party services to operate core features. These may include:

Supabase

Used for authentication, database storage, user profiles, meals, goals, logs, image storage, and related app data.

RevenueCat

Used for subscription management, entitlement checking, purchase status, paywall display, and restoring purchases.

Apple App Store

Used for processing iOS subscriptions, payments, subscription management, and refunds.

Nutrition and Food Data Services

Used to search foods, resolve nutrition information, scan barcodes, or estimate nutrition values.

Google Gemini or Other Image Processing / AI Services

Used when you choose to use image meal logging. Images and related request data may be processed to estimate food items, ingredients, portions, and nutrition values.

These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

6. Tracking and Advertising

MyCals does not sell your personal information. MyCals does not use your personal information for third-party advertising tracking.

MyCals does not display third-party advertisements.

7. How We Store Your Information

Your information may be stored securely using cloud database, storage, authentication, and subscription management services.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the app’s features, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve the service.

10. Notifications

If you enable notifications, MyCals may send reminders related to meals, water intake, weigh-ins, end-of-day progress, or custom reminders.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or app settings where available.

11. Children’s Privacy

MyCals is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Health and Nutrition Disclaimer

MyCals provides nutrition and wellness tracking tools for informational purposes only.

MyCals does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nutrition values, calorie targets, macro goals, image recognition results, barcode results, and food data may be estimates and may not always be accurate.

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, health, or fitness routine.

13. International Users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence. By using MyCals, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred and processed in those locations.
